Privacy Policy
AutoNorth Auto Repair is an independent auto repair shop in North Bay, and this website collects the details you type into the appointment form plus anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics. There are no advertising pixels and nothing on these pages builds a marketing profile of you. The third-party content on these pages is Google Analytics and the Google map showing where the shop is.

What AutoNorth Collects, and What It Does Not
AutoNorth Auto Repair collects the details you type into the appointment form, and Google Analytics counts visits so the shop can see which pages people actually use. There are no advertising pixels and no session recorders.
- Google Analytics, and only for counting. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where in the world they are. It is used to decide what to write next, not to identify you.
- No advertising trackers. There is no Meta pixel, no heatmap tool and no session recorder on this site, and nothing here builds an advertising profile from your visit.
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser, normally named starting with
_ga, to tell a returning visit from a new one. They hold a random identifier, not your name. You can block or delete them at any time, and the site works perfectly well without them. - Nothing is sold or shared for marketing. AutoNorth does not sell, rent or trade the information you send, and does not pass it to anyone for advertising.
What the Appointment Form Collects
Only what the shop needs to call you back and book the work. The form is the single place this website collects anything at all.
- Your name. First and last, so the shop knows who it is calling.
- Your phone number and email address. Used to confirm the appointment and to reach you about the vehicle. Not added to any mailing list.
- Your vehicle's year, make and model. Needed to quote the job and order the right parts.
- What the vehicle needs, and when. Whatever you type into the "What does it need?" box, which is free text and entirely up to you, and your preferred date. There is no time field and nothing is booked until the shop has spoken to you.
- A hidden anti-spam field. The form carries one field a human never sees. Bots fill it in and get rejected. It collects nothing about you.
When you submit the form it is passed through Netlify, which relays it, into GoHighLevel, the customer record system AutoNorth uses to keep track of appointment requests. That is where your details are stored and where the shop reads them. Both companies process the submission as part of delivering that service, and neither is given it for advertising.
What Else Loads on These Pages
Two things: Google Analytics, which counts visits, and the Google map showing the shop's location. Google is a separate company with its own privacy practices, and both mean Google receives a request from your browser.
- Google Analytics. Every page loads Google Analytics 4, which records that a visit happened, which page was read, roughly where the visitor is, and what kind of device and browser was used. Google uses your IP address to work out the approximate location and does not keep it in the Analytics reports. AutoNorth sees totals and trends, never a name or an individual person. That collection is governed by Google's privacy policy as well as this one.
- The Google map. Every page carries an embedded Google map of 1520 Cholette St. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. That is Google's collection, governed by Google's privacy policy, not AutoNorth's.
- Website hosting. This site is served by Netlify. Like any web host, its servers keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
- Outbound links. Where this site links to another company, such as the financing provider, you leave this site and that company's own policies apply.
- Opting out of analytics. Turn on Do Not Track or blocking in your browser, use private browsing, or install Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and this site will not count your visit. Nothing on the site stops working.
- Nothing else. There is no chat widget, no review widget, no social pixel and no embedded video on this site.
How Long It Is Kept, and How to Have It Removed
Your details are kept while they are useful for servicing your vehicle and keeping a record of the work. If you want them removed, ask and they will be.
- Service records. A repair shop keeps a history of work done on a vehicle, which is normal practice and is often what makes a warranty claim or a resale straightforward later.
- Ask for a copy. Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what information a business holds about you. Call (705) 472-6060 or email autonorth1@hotmail.com and ask.
- Ask for a correction. If something on file is wrong, tell the shop and it will be fixed.
- Ask for deletion. You can ask to have your information removed, subject to anything AutoNorth has to keep for tax or legal reasons.
This policy covers this website. It does not cover AutoNorth's Google Business Profile, its Facebook page, or any other platform, each of which is run by the company that owns it.

Privacy: Common Questions
Does this website track me?
Not personally. This site runs Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and page views and sets a cookie in your browser holding a random identifier so a returning visit can be told from a new one. AutoNorth sees totals, not people. There is no advertising pixel, no heatmap tool and no session recorder. If you would rather not be counted, use private browsing or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on and the site works exactly the same.
What does the appointment form collect?
Your first and last name, your phone number, your email address, your vehicle's year, make and model, your preferred date, and whatever you type into the free-text "What does it need?" box. Only the name and phone number are required. There is also one hidden anti-spam field that a human never sees and that collects nothing about you.
What cookies does this site set?
Only the Google Analytics cookies, normally named starting with _ga. The Analytics script sets them on autonorthrepair.ca itself, so they are first-party cookies, and they hold a random identifier used to tell a returning visit from a new one rather than anything about you. They expire on their own. There are no other cookies on this site and it uses no local storage. Blocking or deleting them changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Who else sees what I submit?
The form is relayed by Netlify, which hosts the site's form handler, into GoHighLevel, the customer record system AutoNorth uses to track appointment requests. AutoNorth reads it there. It is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not passed to anyone for advertising.
How do I have my information removed?
Call (705) 472-6060, text (705) 571-4391, or email autonorth1@hotmail.com and ask. You can also ask for a copy of what is on file or have something corrected.
Does this cover AutoNorth's Facebook page or Google listing?
No. This policy covers this website only. Facebook and Google run their own platforms under their own privacy policies.
Questions About Any of This?
Call or text the shop and ask. AutoNorth would rather answer a privacy question directly than have you guess from a page.
